How to get your name on a Florida ballot
Read the full 12-step campaign playbook
1. Pick the seat
Use the race map. Seats where Republicans ran unopposed are flagged in red. Municipal races in 2027 are the fastest way in.
2. Open a campaign account
Appoint a treasurer and file with the right office before you raise or spend a dollar. Federal races also register with the FEC.
3. Qualify on time
Each office has a short qualifying window with a fee or petitions. Miss it and you wait two to four years. Watch the deadlines on each race card.
